On this Web page you will find 2 types of genetic linkage maps of human chromosome 1.
The first is a Comprehensive Positional Genetic Map. This map shows the 1000:1 odds map location of ~700 markers relative to a backbone of 126 Genethon markers.
The second is a 1000:1 odds Comprehensive Expanded Genetic Map. This map was built starting from the 126 Genethon marker backbone map and allowing additional PCR-based markers to fill gaps where there was sufficient statistical support. This map contains 154 uniquely ordered markers at an average map resolution of 1.9 cM per map interval. The remaining 656 markers of all types were positioned relative to the 154 marker expanded map.
More detail can be found on the Background Page.
The marker list includes links to the marker information tables. The marker information tables include links to GDB detail pages, and to text files describing their position on the Comprehensive Positional Map.
