Marker Descriptions and Notes


In pulling together a set of markers as large as this one, originally with 869 markers representing ~825 loci, it is inevitable that one will encounter some unusual markers - perhaps some that actually map to a different chromosome, some that don't map very well though they are linked to chromosome 1, and some older markers on which no information is currently available. I'll briefly descibe these here.

With regard to locus names, I was careful to use only names approved by the GDB nomenclature committee. Please let me know if you find some that are incorrectly identified.
