deCODE MAP Places a marker on to deCODE's linkage map (Kong, A., et al, 2002). Required Input: Chromosome number, a single marker to be placed, lod score threshold. Description: This function places a marker of interest on the deCODE map . The marker to be placed should not be on the deCODE's published map. Because the deCODE map is comprised of only a subset of markers genotyped in other pedigrees, this function may be useful to help identify specific relevant regions on the deCODE map. To save computation time, a pre-calculated result will be displayed. The pre-calculated results were obtained in the following ways: First, a region on the deCODE map with around 80 markers is determined by two-point linkage analysis of the marker to be placed against all markers on the deCODE map. Then the marker is mapped to this selected region by using Crimap's 'ALL' function. For chrmosomes from 1 to 22, the results are based on sex-averaged recombination on both sexes. For chrmosome 23, the result is on female only. Run this functionHome |
